It’s pretty easy to pinpoint where my love of entertaining came from. I have an amazing mom who had entertainment down to a science. She always had a full-house, an amazing menu, and a beautiful table. Our home was one where people were always welcome, well-fed and well-loved. After years of watching her in action, I also found joy in helping her set-up for her various holidays and gatherings, and learned first-hand how to meticulously organize and plan everything down to the smallest detail.
My love of organization and planning has always been a part of who I am, and my instincts and attention to detail have always served me well in a variety of roles. As a wedding coordinator and event planner, I’ve been able to hone in on my passion for helping clients create truly fantastic experiences for their guests. Although my love of organization and planning are what allow my business to thrive, it’s my love of people that truly sets me apart. When I work with clients, I treat them like family–with a lot of love, a lot of respect, and a lot of laughter. I’m the kind of girl who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, I’m a team-player, and a problem-solver. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing that my services allow my clients the ability to enjoy and be present in some of the most memorable days of their lives.
So what really makes my heart hum? I’m always excited about having people over for dinner because I love to cook! Outside of spending time with my husband Jordan, and our four children, I love to work out, I like to try new recipes, I adore our new puppy Stella, and I love to decorate! I’m currently obsessed with charcuterie boards and hot toddies, and now have aspirations of becoming a plant lady.
Chances are that if I am coordinating your event, Amanda will be my plus one as a coordination assistant.
Amanda officially joined the RCED team in 2017. After getting to know her personally, I had a hunch that her personality and work-ethic might be the perfect fit for adding her to the team. From her very first event, she proved to be 100% heart and 200% hustle! She’s kind, courteous, intuitive, and trustworthy. All of my clients continue to rave about her, and those that use me for events annually request for her to be a part of their special days. Amanda has become an invaluable part of RCED and it’s success.
When she’s not helping coordinate an event, Amanda is currently homeschooling and holding down the fort while her husband serves in Cuba. She’s a Chicago girl through and through. A Cubs fan who enjoys a nice bourbon and isn’t afraid to call it like it is.
